The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the deputy superintendent for operations, the director of security is responsible for overseeing operations that ensure the prison's security and for supervising shift commanders and the inner perimeter security officers and their staff, as documented by personnel management subject files.
